WOW Patch 4.06 Changes In the Works

By WoWHousewife On January 25, 2011 No Comments

Many changes now are on our doorstep for WoW. The new patch, 4.06 is still in the works, but it brings a promise of numerous bug fixes, nerfs, buffs, and everywhere in-between. It is a God send for many, if not all, to help balance the game and its mechanics. It is there to help correct some mistakes that Blizzard wholeheartedly accepts that they did. Things such as some boss encounters for heroics that just did not scale with the rest of the dungeon. Places like Stoncore, Shadowfang Keep, Throne of the Tides, and many more are receiving  changes to help make the transition between normal and heroic difficulty more relaxed and less stressful.
They also bring numerous class changes. Mages, Death knights, Druids, Paladins, and others, are receiving numerous buffs and nerfs to help with pvp and bring everyone to scale for damage for raids. A link to the current build can be found here.
So with this said, let me point out just a few of the changes I am especially looking forward to.
One of the top changes I’m looking forward to are the druid healing changes. I just recently got my druid to level 85 and started healing with him. He has a 339 item level average now, but mana is always an issue, especially in AoE intensive fights where I need to bring people back up in health fast. Our top heal during wrath when doing this was Rejuvenation. But since the changes, the healing, yes, has gone up, but the mana cost has also gone up exponentially.  Thus, blanketing a raid in rejuvenations can become very costly for mana, causing cooldowns to be popped early in a fight. An example would be the Siamat fight for Lost City. The main reason is because of people standing in swirly stuff in the ground and not getting out of it.
Another change I’m looking forward to are the changes being done to blood Death Knight damage for tanking, and other tanking related changes for Death Knights. Heart strike will now deal more damage, and mechanics for our damage reduction have changed so that it is applied when blood plague is. Thus when we plague strike or outbreak it will be applied, instead of us having to Blood Boil when we need the debuff.
Do you have changes that you just can’t wait
