Most people say that equipment is not needed until you are raiding and doing some heroics. I say that is completely false.  Equipment is probably one of the most important things there is almost right next to skill. You can find all equipment in the game at www.wowhead.com

Here are just a few reasons:

1. Good equipment helps you kill things faster, efficiently, with maybe a little bruise here and there, and if they can get past those beastly defenses of yours, they might cause a small dent. What does all this really mean? This means that you will save money on those costly repair bills because you aren’t going to die so many times if you have killer gear than if you had all greens.
2. Equipment helps you to unlock just what you can do. From personal experience, I have noticed a big change in how my character performed once I got some really nice gear. I was able to take on 5 mobs and only go down to maybe half health because my gear helped me stay alive in a long drawn out fight which helped to show me my true potential with my character.
3. Gear helps make you look very nice. I mean who doesn’t want to go out with a guy that has good looking gear and can protect you from those evil monsters.

Yet I feel I need to say this before you all go crazy and buy all the gear in sight. Don’t worry about gear until your at least 30. Instance and quest reward gear is probably the only big thing you will get until your 30-35.

Shadowfang Keep is one of the best places to farm for gold. Even the author of Gold-Secrets, whom I have been using to help me make hundreds of gold, says that this is a very good place to farm if you need some cash. It is a good place for a few reasons.

First, this place drops a ton of cloth that can be sold of the auction house. One of the best sellers is wool cloth. Some times, wool can go for over 5gold a stack!

Another reason why this place is wonderful for farming is because of all of the potential BoE drops. While they have a very low drop rate, some as low as .01%, they sell for a lot. Assassin’s Blade, which is one of the most sought after level 19 twink items, can sell from anywhere between 300g to over 1000g. That is a lot of cash in your pocket.

Also, this place is great for skinning. When I was leveling a skinner to Northrend level, this is one of the top places I hit once I hit 100 skinning. Almost everything in this instance can be skinned, allowing you to get a lot of leather in a matter of 20 to 30 minutes. I usually pull out a stack of Medium Leather and at least 2 stacks of light leather. That can be a lot of gold in your pocket.

Another reason why this place is great to farm for gold is just how much coin drops off of the mobs. In the end of a run, by myself, I can pull of at least 2 gold, not including all of the stuff I sell, which is usually another 3-4 gold.

When you enter this instance, make sure that your bags are empty, because they will take up all of your space.

Everyone around you has that fast epic mount or shiny new armor set.  You don’t have hours to spend farming or mastering the auction house.  As a casual player you figure that, hey, I have the money to buy that WoW gold they all keep talking about.  STOP! Don’t ever buy WoW gold.

• You are supporting activities that diminish the gameplay experience.
• Gold buying throws off the WOW economy- causing inflation!!
• It is a waste of your money. You are already paying to play to game, so why would you waste your hard earned cash just to get some imaginary money that won’t get you anywhere except the poor house. Also, you will be going through that gold faster than you could say hop scotch.

There are   legal ways to acquire gold faster than the average player slogging though quests. You just have to know which quests, and what to do to be more efficient and still have fun.

Tips for getting Gold in WOW:

· Do Dailies- each quest pays 13g plus the goodies you get from kills. Many of these dailies can be found in Icecrown.

· Questing-This will award both gold and items that you can sell to make even more money. Sometimes, you can make over 20g from just one quest.

· Farming- This is a great way to get things that will help you make money from the auction house. Just be sure to do some research before you do start farming.

· Gold Guides- These guides are written by players who have a system down to acquire the most gold in the least amount of time.
